Greetings from the Graduate School at UNH

University of New Haven

GREETINGS
from the Office of International Admissions at the University of New Haven, one of America's best universities for international students

We would like to thank you for your interest in our graduate school. Founded in 1920, UNH is a private, independent, comprehensive university located in West Haven, Connecticut, just an hour and a half drive from New York City and less than three hours from Boston, Massachusetts. UNH is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and by the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Department of Higher Education.

Our university has a long and proud tradition of fostering the education of men and women from around the world. We currently have over 700 international graduates from more than 55 countries. Our graduate programs provide quality education that helps prepare our international students for careers that will be of great benefit to their home countries and to the international community at large.

We offer 18 graduate degree programs to help prepare international students for success in their careers and their lives. These master's level degree programs are offered in our College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, the Tagliatela School of Engineering and the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences.

Please note that our Graduate School follows a trimester schedule, which means there are THREE terms in which students can begin most programs. You can accelerate your degree by attending three complete terms per year. Trimesters begin in September (Fall Trimester), January (Winter Trimester), and April (Spring Trimester).

We invite you to visit our website. We also encourage you to apply online.

We look forward to working with you to help you reach your educational goals.

Sincerely,

Joseph. F. Spellman
Director of International Admissions
